Job Description

The Project Manager (Development) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of software development projects, focusing on Product Support, Quick Platform Enhancement for High Visibility Clients, Custom Client Implementation Projects, and Real-Time Template and Tool Configuration requests. With a monthly support load of over 30+ unique clients and 8+ new client implementation projects, this role is vital for managing diverse projects and ensuring timely completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership: Lead and oversee software development projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, scope, and timelines. Providing quick solutions to problems inhibiting the team from achieving their goals, leveraging deep knowledge of software development projects and best practices.
2. Project Execution: Leverage Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) to drive project execution and promote collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
3. Team Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams of software developers, designers, testers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions, remove impediments, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, expectations, and success criteria. Clearly communicate vision, plans and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders.
5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, resolving escalations, and coordinating with technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
6. Resource and Capacity Management: Managing work prioritization, driving efficiency across the SDLC workflow, and upholding SLA commitments for committed items.
7. Software Development Lifecycle: Apply knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to guide projects from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in project management processes, methodologies, and team performance.
9. Tool Proficiency: Utilize project management and software development tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Smartsheet, etc.) for collaboration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong demand for individuals with 3-5 years of project management experience in software development, particularly in fintech or payment industry.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) is highly sought after, along with certification in Agile (e.g., CSM, PSM).
• Proficiency in project management or software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Smartsheet, etc.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in Agile (e.g., CSM, PSM) is essential.
• Knowledge or interest in payments or fintech is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
